Plain Cowrie Sea Shell holds immense spiritual significance, especially in Hindu traditions. It is believed that Goddess Laxmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, originated from the sea, making cowrie shells (which come from the ocean) a powerful symbol of prosperity and abundance.

In ancient times, cowrie shells were even used as currency, further enhancing their importance. Today, they are used in Goddess Laxmi Puja to invoke blessings of wealth, success, and happiness. Cowries are considered to be auspicious and bring positive energy to the surroundings.

These Plain Cowrie Sea Shells are ideal for use in Pujas, rituals, or for decorative purposes in your Puja room or home. Each shell is approximately 20mm in size and sold in a pack of 10 pcs, making them perfect for your spiritual practices or as a thoughtful gift.

To cleanse a Plain Cowrie (Kawadi), gently rinse it with lukewarm water and a few drops of mild soap or rose water to remove dust and impurities. Use a soft cloth or brush to clean it carefully, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Dry it completely with a soft cloth. For spiritual cleansing, sprinkle the cowrie with Ganga Jal or dip it briefly in a mixture of cow’s milk and rose water. Place it near a lit diya or incense and chant “Om Mahalaxmyai Namah” or “Om Shreem Namah” 9 or 108 times. You can also expose it to full moonlight overnight to enhance its positive and protective energies.
